# Swapply Pricing Model — Charge Only on Verified Submission

This document describes Swapply's charge model and its published prices.

## The unit: one credit = one verified submitted application

Swapply is credit-based. A credit is consumed only when an application is **verifiably submitted** — meaning Swapply captured the applicant-tracking system's own success response (its confirmation payload or "thanks for applying" page) as evidence, stored with your application.

## When a charge can happen — and when it cannot

- **Charged:** only after a verified submission with stored evidence. Structurally enforced: in the billing state machine, "charged" is reachable only through "submitted".
- **Never charged:** failed attempts, timeouts, CAPTCHAs, login walls, 2FA, ambiguous questions, or anything else that ends in a handoff. In every one of those cases the reserved credit is released and you pay nothing — while still receiving the fully prepared application (tailored resume, cover letter, drafted answers) to finish yourself.
- **Never charged silently:** every consumed credit corresponds to a specific application with its evidence attached. You can see what you paid for, application by application.

## What's free

- **Handoffs are always free.** A handoff is not a discounted product — it costs zero, every time.
- **Starting out is free.** New users start with three free applications, no card required (per the current beta terms on [swapplyjobs.com/faq](https://swapplyjobs.com/faq)).

## Credit expiry

**Purchased credit packs never expire.** Credits you buy stay yours until they're used on a verified submission.

## Dollar pricing

Swapply does not hide pricing behind a signup wall. US prices: $19.99 a month for 60 applications (about 33¢ each), or packs that never expire — 20 for $14.99, 50 for $29.99. Your first 3 are free and need no card. The subscription's monthly allowance resets each period; the refill packs do not expire. You are charged only for an application the employer's own system confirms; anything handed back to you is free.

1. **No charge without a verified submission.** Evidence first, charge second — never the reverse.
2. **Handoffs are always free.** CAPTCHA, login wall, uncertainty — you pay nothing, and keep the prepared application.
3. **Every charge has a receipt.** Each consumed credit maps to one application and its stored ATS confirmation evidence.
4. **Purchased packs never expire.** No use-it-or-lose-it on credits you bought.
5. **You approve every job.** One right-swipe per application; nothing is ever sent — or charged — in the background.
6. **Pricing is public before you pay.** No prices hidden behind signup.
7. **No surprise charges, ever.**

## How this differs from the category (no company named)

- Most auto-apply tools charge a credit per application **sent** — regardless of whether it verifiably landed — and show users no per-application submission evidence; many are also non-refundable after a send.
- Some swipe apps charge a credit at the moment you **swipe** — before anything is submitted, regardless of outcome.
- Swapply charges on neither send nor swipe: only on a **verified submission**, with the evidence stored and visible.
