Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Private beta
Swapply ("we," "us") helps you apply to jobs by tailoring your resume and submitting applications on your behalf. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the promises we've built into the product itself. It's written plainly on purpose.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address (and, if you sign in with Apple, the relay address Apple provides).
- Your resume and profile — the resume you upload, plus job preferences and the answers you give to common application questions.
- Application activity — which jobs you swiped on, what we submitted, and the status of each application, including the submission evidence we capture.
- Basic product analytics — how the app is used, with personal content masked.
Website & waitlist
The swapplyjobs.com website sets no cookies and runs no ad trackers. If you join the waitlist we store your email address, when you joined, and which campaign brought you (e.g. a link tag). We use it for exactly one thing: inviting you to the beta and telling you about your early access. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask to be removed anytime at [email protected].
How we use it
We use your resume and answers solely to match you to relevant jobs and to prepare and submit applications you choose by swiping right. To do this, your resume and answers are sent to the named AI providers below — and only with your explicit consent, which you give during onboarding.
Sub-processors (named)
Your application content (resume and answers) is sent to exactly two AI providers, with your consent:
- OpenAI — language and embedding models.
- Anthropic — language models.
Running the service also relies on this infrastructure, each receiving only what its job requires:
- Supabase (hosted on AWS, US East) — database, authentication, and file storage for your account and resume.
- Resend — sends our transactional emails (waitlist confirmations, account emails).
- PostHog — product analytics, with personal content masked.
- Sentry — error monitoring, with personal data scrubbed from reports.
- Apple / RevenueCat — purchase and subscription processing, once paid plans launch. Payment details never touch our servers.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.
What we never do
- We never store your job-site or employer account passwords. There is no field for them anywhere in our system.
- We never solve CAPTCHAs or bypass login walls — those applications are handed back to you to finish.
- We never resell or rent your personal data.
Employers
When we submit an application, the employer receives exactly the information you would have submitted yourself — your tailored resume and answers. We don't share anything with employers beyond your application.
Data retention & deletion
- Account, resume & application data — kept while your account is active; removed within 30 days of account deletion.
- Waitlist emails — kept until you're invited or you unsubscribe, whichever comes first; removed promptly on request.
- Minimal legal records — a small set of records required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons may be retained in anonymized form.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account).
Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Wherever you are, you can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data — email [email protected] and we'll help, usually within a few days.
- If you're in the EU/EEA or UK — we process your data on the basis of your consent and our contract with you. You can withdraw consent, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- If you're a California resident — we do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor access, deletion, and correction requests without discriminating against you for making them.
